Related Groups
There are several other community performance groups in Doha who our members also belong to and to whose performances our audiences also go. We try to align our rehearsals and performances so that all these groups can share both members and audiences.
The Doha Players
The Doha Players is a community theater group entirely run by volunteers of all ages and nationalities that puts usually stages 4 productions in a year including pantomimes and musicals.
Doha Community Orchestra
The Doha Community Orchestra is a full size symphony orchestra and wind symphony for amateur musicians open to new members of all ages and nationalities.
Doha Youth and Junior Choirs
Doha Youth Choir is for singers aged 13 and upwards. It is an ambitious youth choir where members receive specialised training in sight-singing, notation and theory, vocal technique, music interpretation and are exposed to a great variety of the greater classical and contemporary choral repertoire.
Doha Junior Choir is for younger boys and girls aged 7-12 years. Rehearsals are twice weekly for 1 hour and this will include learning how to read music and music theory. This choir will serve as a feeder choir to the more senior Doha Youth Choir.
Qatar Concert Choir
This adult choir enjoys and specialises in singing music at the challenging end of the choral spectrum. They give up to four performances per 'season'.
