Claire is delighted to be directing the Doha Singers for the first time this season. Claire specialises in directing and producing musicals and before leaving the UK, she spent 3 years managing an 800 seat theatre in England, managing events and directing shows. Her musical career began while studying Voice and Piano at Newcastle School of Music in the UK. After graduation, she pursued a career as an international performer in Abu Dhabi and China before spending 10 years in Thailand initially performing before following her other passion of teaching where she rose to become Head of Music at Dulwich International College.

After leaving Thailand, Claire spent 3 years in Spain at the Sotogrande International School before returning to the British International School, Phuket, Thailand, for 4 years as Head of the Faculty of Visual and Performing Arts.

Claire arrived in Doha in 2014 and immediately joined the Doha Singers as an alto spending two years singing and assisting the Doha Singers with her piano playing and directing skills before being appointed Musical Director in September 2016. She is currently the Head of Performing Arts at the International School of London, Qatar. Claire embraces the inclusivity and diversity of community choirs and feels that everyone should sing to release those positive endorphins!
